CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Downed power lines and the smell of gas generators flood the streets of Southwest Florida following Hurricane Ian. Most people are trying to be patient, but they are ready for their power to come back on. On Tuesday LCEC reported, out of almost 90,000 Cape Coral customers, about 6,500 had power. That is only seven percent. Crews are working around the clock to restore power here in Cape Coral.
