FL agency wants more than $500,000 to collect data on citizenship status of hospital patients

Kimberly Smoak, a deputy secretary at the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, requested over half a million for the implementation of the state’s new immigration law. She presented the request on Oct. 18, 2023 during a Health Care Appropriations Subcommittee meeting.
