Governor Ron DeSantis suspended State Prosecutor Andrew Warren in August, alleging “incompetence and willful defiance of his duties” after he pledged not to enforce Florida abortion law. Warren will appeal a federal judge’s opinion that the suspension was unconstitutional, but the judge said he did not have the authority to reinstate Warren to his job. DeSantis’ press secretary stated that Warren’s fate is in the hands of the Florida Senate, which has put consideration of Warren’s suspension on hold until the legal wrangling is resolved. TALLA
