Tom Lee-tied group directs $1M to super PAC supporting Laurel Lee

Candidato republicano al Congreso Laurel Lee opened with strong fundraising numbers. But there may be a lot more money behind her than it first appears.

Federal Election Commission records show $1 million just made its way from a political organization tied to Tom Lee, a former Florida Senate President and Lee’s husband, to a super PAC already spending in support of Laurel Lee’s congressional ambitions.

Conservative Action Fund, which is managed by Massachusetts-based Bulldog Compliance, just reported raising $1 million from The Conservative. That’s a political organization reconstituted as a federal 527 group from a state political committee of the same name
