Representative Katherine Waldron (D-Wellington) and Representative David Borrero (R-Miami) have jointly filed a major piece of bipartisan legislation House Bill 1355 that prohibits certain investments from foreign countries of concern in Florida’s agricultural land and “strategic assets.” This important bill will block the purchase or acquisition of real property by the People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Republic of Cuba, the Venezuelan regime of Nicolás Maduro, or the Syrian Arab Republic and any agency of or any other entity under significant control of foreign concern in locations
