Long voting lines expected on Election Day in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Early voting in Lee County has officially ended and Supervisor of Elections Tommy Doyle now predicts if you plan to vote on Election Day, you can expect lines. The county added another voting location for Tuesday. It will be at Louise du Pont Crowninshield Community House in Boca Grande. It is one of just 13 voting locations this year after Hurricane Ian limited the county from its usual 97 Election Day polling locations. Monday started with about 40% voter turnout, but by the end of the day it had climbed to 45% as many voters hand-delivered their mail
