Poll workers were busy at the election center Monday, setting up for voters to elect the next mayor and city council members in Jacksonville. Early voting brought in about 13.8% of registered voters in Duval County.
186 precincts have to be set up, poll workers who spoke with News4JAX said they’re optimistic about the election.
“I’m excited, I’m hoping it will be a great time,” Velma Rounsville said. “I’m a little disappointed in how people have been turning out, and I just hope there is a great turnout on election day. That’s what I hope for.”
